Lenox deed filings show wide price gap, most transfers undisclosed
The Middlesex Berkshire Registry of Deeds recorded 15 property transactions in Lenox between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only two disclosed a sale price: $250,000 for 72 Plunkett St. and $25,000 for 135 Main St., producing a median of $137,500. Four of the 15 filings involved Main Street addresses, recorded within a two-day span. Several other entries were identified in the deeds as mortgages, assignments or family trust transfers rather than open-market sales. With price data available for just two of 15 filings, the records do not support a clear read on overall market direction this period.
