Thirteen Lenox properties change hands in four weeks, but sale price on 10 goes unrecorded
The Middle Berkshire Registry of Deeds recorded 13 Lenox property transfers between July 31 and Aug. 6, but only three disclosed a sale price. Those three ranged from $250,000 to $398,334, with a median of $272,500. The top disclosed sale was 359 New Lenox Rd at $398,334, sold Aug. 3 from Heather McDermott to Old Second National Bank and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. Banks or mortgage entities appeared as buyer or seller in most transactions, and two properties, on Hubbard Street and Holmes Road, transferred from family trusts to the town of Lenox. With price data available for less than a quarter of recorded transactions, the period's overall market tone cannot be determined from this dataset alone.
